Glenn Lyvers is an American writer and artist living in the Midwest. His poetry biography is available through Poets and Writers Magazine.. His photography and others works are available here, and elsewhere online.
Glenn Lyvers (1969-current) was born in Michigan. He has lived in California, Georgia, Indiana and various US locations. He has traveled abroad, both in the Americas and Europe (including some time spent living and studying in Oaxaca Mexico, near Central America). He speaks English and Spanish. Lyvers received assistance in publishing his first book, “Glenn Lyvers Midwest Collection,” after winning the 2009 Best Poet award from Midwest Literary Magazine.
Glenn’s second book, “Burnt Umber,” was published by MLM Press (http://MidwestLiteraryMagazine.com). Glenn has received various literary awards including two pushcart nominations, a Wolfson Award in fiction, two annual poetry prizes (Indiana University and Midwest Lit) and his works appear in dozens of literary journals. Lyvers is the current editor of Poetry Quarterly, a not-for-profit literary journal (http://PoetryQuarterly.org), as well as the owner of GreenSubmissions (http://GreenSubmissions.com), a submission managing software suite serving a large group of literacy journals online, as seen in Poets and Writers Magazine. Lyvers publishes a small bi-annual journal based on the life and times of small towns in Midwest America, “Inwood Indiana,” (http://InwoodIndiana.com) named after one of the places he lived.
Lyvers is a master photographer and has received national recognition for his work in this field, including 14 showcase awards from OMP and over 100 Hall of Fame awards from the National Modeling Directory (more than any other photographer in the United States).
